Trip Report Tuesday // WDW Day 14

In today's trip report we get "wild" at Disney's Animal Kingdom, enjoy some Hollywood thrills, and even create our own Dole Whips at a WDW resort!  I'm excited to share more Disney details with you!  Let's get right to it ...

Day 14 - Wednesday, October 2, 2013

Rise & Roar!  It's an Animal Kingdom kinda morning!

A DINOmite start to the day!

Epic Prehistoric Adventures

The photo of Jason and our girls at the top right is a tradition for us!  Ever since Little One's first trip we've snapped one of the three of them at these drums.

Rafiki's Planet Watch
Train Ride to the Conservation Station

Eek!  The girls both got up close and personal with a snake!

More PhotoPass Fun!

Expedition Everest
Yep, we're fans of silly, posed ride photos!  Top right photo taken from the front row - LOVE it!

Ferocious Fun!

DISNEY Snacks are the BEST Snacks!
Jason and Little One enjoyed a Mickey pretzel.  I love spiciness, so I snagged a jalapeƱo cheese stuffed pretzel.  Princess went for her favorite sweet treat, a classic, Mickey Premium Ice Cream Bar!

Photo Spot!
Looking for a place to snap some fun photos at Animal Kingdom?  Be sure to stop at the Disney Vacation Club Member Information area...

So many adventures ...by Disney ;)

Lunch at Riverside Mill

Can you believe that burger?!  Chocolate cake + Mickey sprinkles = my favorite ending to any meal!

After lunch we headed back to our room for a lit'l r&r break.

Port Orleans Riverside is so beautiful!  Each trip to and from our room made for a breathtaking stroll!

We love seeing these lit'l lizard-y friends throughout WDW property!

Shopping at Fulton's General Store, Port Orleans Riverside

Curious what souvenirs we came home with?  Check out my Disney World Shopping Haul!

I love these adorable moving characters throughout this cute shop!

After a bit of shopping, we took an afternoon cruise on the Sassagoula River to check out Port Orleans French Quarter...

Thrill Riding in Hollywood {Studios}!

This is one of our favorite ride photos from this trip! Ha!

Hmm...

Ticket and Transportation Center

Although we always use Disney Transportation, I couldn't resist snapping a pic of this sign.  Could parking lots have cooler names?  I think not! ;)

Ferry boat rides at sunset are beautiful!

Hidden Mickey Goodness!

Dinner at Capt. Cook's, Disney's Polynesian Resort
Have you ever dreamed of having the opportunity to create your own Dole Whip at WDW?  You can make that dream come true at Capt. Cook's!  Our entrees were pretty mediocre, but creating our own Dole Whips for dessert made it well worth dining there!

Didn't I create a pretty Dole Whip?!  I'm known for making hysterically lopsided soft serve cones, so we could hardly believe that my Dole Whip came out looking picture perfect!  Must have been Disney magic! ;)

Thanks so much for visiting today!  Here's a sneak peek at what's to come next Trip Report Tuesday!

Day 15 was one of my favorites of the trip!  It's going to be a very FUN one to share with you all, next week!

  4. We have stayed at French Quarter 1 time. It was nice but Riverside has them beat. That Dolewhip is making my mouth water. We spent a lot of time in the souvenier too usually coming back from one of the parks.

  5. If you guys go back to Capt Cooks, I highly recommend the pork nachos. They are anything but mediocre! I had them in March and am counting down the days until I can get them again in September!
