Trip Report Tuesday! WDW Day 3

Tuesday is quickly becoming one of my favorite days here at Chatting Over Chocolate!  I love sharing with you all!  Thanks for giving me a good excuse to relive the magic! ;)

Ready to hear about our continued adventures?

Day 3 - Saturday, September 21, 2013

As much as we enjoyed Disney's new Art of Animation Resort it was time to move our princesses to a Royal Room.  Port Orleans Riverside here we come!

Good morning', Good mornin' to you!

Checking in at Port Orleans Riverside

Such a gorgeous lobby!

We got our Anniversary Buttons {as the trip was in celebration of our 15th} and were ready to head to our new home (for the following two weeks anyway :))

We instantly fell in love with this resort!

The reflections of Riverside's beauty in the Sassagoula River were stunning!

Our Royal Abode

A room fit for our Princesses

* Please visit me next Magical Monday to see more about our Royal Room!  Disney magic is in the details, and this room had so many that I think it's deserving of it's own dedicated post!

Next we took a bus to Hollywood Studios, and there boarded a Friendship to the Yacht & Beach Club for lunch.

Beaches & Cream Soda Shop

Juicy burgers, fizzy drinks, and divine desserts make Beaches & Cream a can't miss meal, but it's the atmosphere that really makes it memorable!

I had the Angus Beef Burger in all it's barbecued goodness, substituting the bleu cheese for cheddar please!  Jason enjoyed a Pot Roast Sandwich.  Princess went with Grilled Cheese and Tomato Bisque, while her little sister had Grilled Chicken Strip Skewers ...but their favorite part of the meal was dessert!  Look how cute Little One's Sundae was!!   I see a hidden yummy Mickey!  Princess and her daddy both enjoyed a "No Way Jose" ... YUM!  I couldn't resist the house-made SEVEN layer chocolate cake this time around!  It was soooo good, with a Mickey on top!

With full bellies and hearts anticipating Disney magic we headed out for some fun in the sun!

Fantasia Gardens Miniature Golf
This was our first time playing mini (or any) golf at Disney World.  It was a lot of fun!

18 holes of  themed fun!

Each begins on a magical note

Fantasia Gardens is a hole in one when it comes to family fun!

The last hole sends the golf ball into a whirl, followed by a spray of water.  Little One took advantage of this as a means of cooling off on a hot Florida day!

Once back at our resort Jason took the girls swimming while I unpacked.  I like making our resort feel like "home".  Not a thing is left in our bags for the length of our stay.  Our clothing is hung and put in our dresser.  Our toiletries stored nicely in the areas provided, and one suitcase is unzipped at the top to create a "hamper" for our dirty clothing.  There's nothing quite like feeling as if you're "living at Disney" for a couple weeks. :)

After settling in, we headed out for the perfect first evening at Port Orleans!

 YEHAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!
If you're looking for a FUN night outside of the Parks, head to Port Orleans Riverside's River Roost Lounge to see Yehaa Bob!

One of the most memorable and FUN evenings of our trip was spent with Yehaa Bob!  He rocks the Roost while playing his unique piano that actually rocks back and forth while he plays, sings ...and everyone sings along! "No excuses!" (As Bob often reminds the crowd.)  We sang, danced, laughed, and smiled 'til our cheeks hurt!  I was even up front in a Rockette-style kick line! {Wouldn't you like to see that video - ha!} It was pretty amazing for FREE entertainment! ...Well, it could have been free, but how could we pass up those Nachos with Beef Chili, Cheddar Cheese, & Salsa, and the Breaded Crawfish Tails with Remoulade Sauce?! We had the BEST time!

*See Bob's official website, YehaaBob.com, for his schedule.

Hope you'll be back to hear about Day 4, next Tuesday!

Here's a sneak peek at what's to come next week...
