Trip Report Tuesday // WDW Day 4 Part 2 | Epcot + Disney Vacation Club Member Lounge

Hello, Disney friends!  Ready for some Disney deets from a memorable evening in Epcot?  Let's get right to it!

Day 3 - Sunday, November 26, 2017  //  Part 2

Our first ride of the night was inside this beauty, Spaceship Earth.

Next up, we headed for a ride in the "big blue world" of The Seas with Nemo & Friends, followed by a visit to a Manatee I like to call Barbara. ;)

"Barbara Manatee (Manatee, Manatee) You are the one for me!"

Disney Vacation Club Members Lounge
During DVC's milestone anniversary (the year prior to this trip) Disney turned the upstairs of Journey into Imagination with Figment into a lounge for Disney Vacation Club members.  We were thrilled to take advantage of this membership perk!

Upon entering the Journey Into Imagination building via the gift shop we presented our DVC card and ID to a cast member at a podium.  We were then allowed access to the lounge.  When we reached the top of the stairs we were greeted, asked to sign in, and were told about the complimentary amenities there.  They have Coca-Cola freestyle machines, places to charge your electronics and cords for basically every type of device, computers, gaming systems, iPads, and perhaps best of all a cast member who comes around with a cart of snacks (chips, cookies, candies, etc.) - all complimentary for members!

We enjoyed a nice break, cooling off in the A/C with some sips, snacks, free wifi, and an incredible, unique view of Spaceship Earth!

Here's a closer peek at this magical membership perk...

Gaming systems for use and cartoons playing for kids and kids at heart

My favorite family ;)

Complimentary snacks at Disney?!  Yes, please and thank you!

Just check out that breathtaking view!

It is such a cool place to hang out!

Nice and refreshed, we headed over to The American Adventure.

Disney goes all out for the holidays!  They even had a gingerbread United States Capitol Building on display!

We don't go to The American Adventure each trip, but I enjoy it whenever we do.  Fills my heart with patriotism and leaves me singing, "America, spread your golden wings...flying high!"

First Time Enjoying Frozen Ever After
The time had come to "Let it Go", our fastpass that is, and check out a new-to-us ride!  This was our first time experiencing Frozen Ever After.  I have to tell you, we were among those who were initially extremely disappointed when it was announced that they were closing Norway's Maelstrom to make way for this Frozen themed ride.  However, it didn't take long in that boat to be won over!  This ride is beautifully done!  The new style of animatronics with faces aglow wowed me!

The Fountain of the Nations is always a beautiful sight, especially while lit at night!

Popcorn time!

A Hidden Mickey aglow and "pixie dusted pavement" led us out for the night.

Farewell, Epcot.  Our beds were calling!  Speaking of beds, we returned to find that "mousekeeping" had used Little One's blanket to create a giant Minnie bow on her bed!  I love the little Disney details!

We completed the night with an in-room in-bed pizza party for four!

...and chocolate cake, because after all, this was vacation!

Thanks so much for joining me for another magical stroll down Disney memory lane!  Hope you'll be back again next week for another pixie dusted post!

  3. Ooh, I am so tempted to become a Disney Vacation Club Member. That lounge looks so nice, just everything you'd need for a little break. It can get HOT at Epcot (esp in the world showcase!). We did a pizza party in our room the last night on our last trip and it was SO nice!
