January Favorites!

I've been a big fan of monthly favorite posts from bloggers and YouTube vloggers I follow for as far back as I can remember, yet I have never created one myself!  Well, that's all about to change, friends!  Today I'm excited to share some of my favorite finds, delicious eats, sips, and scents from January 2015!

I shared links to all items that are currently available.  None of the links shared within this post are affiliate links.  All opinions are my own.
My girls were each given this brush for Christmas from dear friends.  I had heard great things about it, but when trying it on tangle-prone Little One I was still shocked at just how well it glided through her locks!  My oldest doesn't necessary have an issue with tangles, but in the past could never get away with using just a shampoo & conditioner combo.  She always had to follow with a separate conditioner as well to help avoid any tangle troubles.  Since using this brush she was able to ditch a separate conditioner and now only has one bottle of hair product in our shower!  In other words, it was a pretty big deal for both my sweeties - which in turn, is a pretty big deal to their mama! ;)  I ended up running out to Target to get one for myself too!  LOVE!!!

Frosted Wonderland Shower Gel
I had been such a Winter Candy Apple fan that I hadn't tried Frosted Wonderland until I spotted it in Bath & Body Work's clearance section after Christmas.  I have been enjoying it since ...and ordered two more bottles immediately! ;)  Good sudsy stuff.

The start of winter wreaked havoc on my hair, leaving it dry and frizzy.  Enter this hair care to the rescue!  I haven't been using this product line for long, but have seen a noticeable difference.  Yay!

I'm one of those girls who looks like they are wearing red lipstick in the winter, when I'm not.  ChapStick in a wintery fresh scent both soothes and brings a smile to those recovering lips of mine!

Winter Candy Apple 24-Hour Moisture Ultra Shea Body Cream
I heart this creamy wonder!  It feels so good, and smells even better!  If any is lingering in a clearance section at your Bath & Body Works store, I highly recommend it!  If not, make a mental note to try next winter as it seems to be a reoccurring {amazing} scent!  Your skin & your nose will thank you later.

My Aunt Ann gave me this necklace for Christmas and I absolutely adore it!  Mickey ears make every day a lit'l more magical! ;)

Kohl's Cares Disney Mickey Mouse Bag
Every time I fill this Christmas gift from my parents it makes my heart smile!

Have I been baking?  When guests visit my home they likely think so either way as I've been using this in two wax warmers all month long.  It reminds me of lemon cookies I enjoyed as a kid.  Sweet scents that bring childhood memories flooding back are irresistible!

If you've been following long, you know I LOVE deals!  While Walmart is not my favorite place to spend time, this app makes it well worth my while!  You simply point and scan a code on your receipt and it searches for lower prices in ads put out from their rival retailers in the surrounding area.  I tested it out by buying a few things I'd seen with a better sale price at a local grocery store.  When it "caught" the lower price elsewhere I knew that this was the simplest, least time consuming way to price match! Since November I've entered 16 receipts and have received $11.77 back in reward dollars ...on stuff I had to buy anyway! Win/win!
*For more info on how it works, see the link above. ;)

Snow Boot Goodness!
These were a Christmas gift that my parents let me choose when we were out shopping together at Target on Black Friday.  I couldn't love them more!  Cute, comfy, and tootsie toe warming ...footwear doesn't get much better than that in my book!

My best bloggy friend, Chrissy, included this in her thoughtful Christmas package to my family.  I tried to save those envelopes of delight for the coldest nights, and savored every scrumptious sip!  YUMmm!

Pizza Ranch's BLT Pizza
Combining two of my favorite things.  How could this not be delish?!  If you have a Pizza Ranch in your area, don't miss out on this tastiness!!

There you have it, my favorites from the first month of this fresh new year!  I hope you've enjoyed the FIRST monthly favorites post to hit Chatting Over Chocolate!  If you did, I'd love to hear so in the comments section below!  Perhaps it'll become a regular blog series here! ;)

  1. I was wondering about the Wet Brush! My girl and I have major issues with tangles. I've had one in my hand ready to purchase and put it back unsure that it would hold up to its claim! Thanks for testing it out! Now.....I just need to get to Target! ;) Great post, my friend! I love favorite lists too! :)

  3. I've been wondering about that peppermint chapstick! I keep seeing it in the store and have been wanting to try it :) I have super similar boots from Target though they were from like 4 years ago. I see they've changed the style a tad and I love them! They must look super cute on you. Checking out that recipe NOW! Thanks for linking up, Brenda! And you're so awesome commenting on others' posts from the linkup!!! You're the best :)

  4. We just had the blt fries from the golden oak outpost at the magic kingdom. If the pizza is as tasty as those then sign me up!!
I could really go for a cocoa now. We are suppose to be getting rain for the next few days, no rain yet..but the sky is grey so sounds like a good time for cocoa even if it isn't necessarily so chilly out =)
I miss the need for furry shoes =(
I can almost smell each of those fun products. I love bath and body works. I still have like three lotions to go through from like three years ago before I can get more. It takes me eons to go through lotion.
I have that chapstick! somewhere. Or I used it and had it recently...I love chapstick, always have some on hand. I hear that have cake batter and I need that in my life.
Mickey ears!! I'd like one of those alex and ani bracelets with the Mickey on it. It's on my birthday list! Maybe somebody will be nice and get me one haha.
You know what works wonders for my hair? Diluted apple cider vinegar. I started using it a few months ago now, and I see a huge difference. You use it in place of conditioner. On the occasion that I forget to mix up more before a shower and I have to use regular conditioner...my hair hates me. I think it is suppose to be a 1 to 8 ratio, of apple cider vinegar 1 and water 8. Stings your eyes if you open them, but it is amazing on my hair!
