Trip Report Tuesday! WDW Day 5

Ready for Day 5 details? We hit three Disney Parks, and enjoyed one of our favorite character meals! I'm looking forward to sharing oodles of pics and stories with you today, friends!

Day 5 - Monday, September 23, 2013

We began our day at Disney's Animal Kingdom.

A sweet start to the day, breakfast at Pizzafari!

Memories in the Making
Primeval Whirl has been one of Princess' favorite rides at Animal Kingdom for years now, but this was the first trip that Little One was tall enough to ride.  These two giggly girls enjoyed many whirls around it, while their weaker stomached parents watched. ;)

Little One's 1st glimpse of the YETI!

Finally tall enough to ride Expedition Everest, Little One LOVED her first "tea train" ride up the mountain at Expedition Everest!  She and her mommy now share a favorite ride!

Photo Pass Time!

Showing Our Wild Side

Lunch at our favorite counter service restaurant in Animal Kingdom, Flame Tree Barbecue!
I love their barbecue!  Little One loves the feathered friends that come out to say hello ...and beg for food, but she'll be the first to remind you, "Please don't feed the wildlife here!"

Can you dig it?

We always enjoy our time as honorary bugs inside the Tree of Life!

Such an interesting sight to see, Divine!

Rainy September afternoon fashion at its finest

Private Character Meet 'n' Greet
{If you're a Disney Chase cardholder be sure to take advantage of this perk!  Not only do you get exclusive one on one time with characters, you also receive a complimentary 5x7 photo too! See more info HERE , in the section titled Perks at Walt Disney World Resort.}

Reuniting with Minnie! So sweet!

Next, we headed to Disney's Contemporary Resort for dinner at one of our favorite restaurants, Chef Mickey's!  There's always such great fun and deliciousness to be enjoyed there!

We received a special anniversary treat of candlelit Mickey cupcakes, but I still couldn't resist my favorite dessert offering there, the Mickey Mouse Domes! YUM!

We left the Contemporary with more than just full bellies and smiles, the girlies each found something they were excited to dip into their souvenir money for...

A short stroll later, we were at Magic Kingdom!

A Disney classic

We must've been a little "mad" to be behind Cinderella Castle during the start of Wishes Nighttime Spectacular!  It sounded like we were in the middle of a war! HA! It was so loud, not at all like what we normally experience viewing it from the other side of the castle! It makes me laugh thinking back at it, but it really is fun to experience things differently after several WDW trips.  A Mad Hatter welcomed us to his tea party, so we took shelter there for a bit.  :)

Ending our evening with a BANG!

I so enjoyed sharing details of WDW day 5 with you today!  Hope you'll be back next Trip Report Tuesday to hear about the adventures of day 6!

Here's a sneak peek at what's to come next time...

  1. We watch Wishes from in front of the Tomorrowland Speedway. I love that it's practically the same view, but way less crowded.

  2. What fun pics!!! I so want the bug glasses :).

Boys saw Frozen when I was in Boston, I was a little jealous.

  3. A Bugs Life is also one of my favorites at animal Kingdom. I love the teacups at The Mad Hatter. I had to ride them alone because my mom and my cousin hated getting dizzy. We were shopping in the Christmas shop behind the Castle once during the fireworks and you are right, it is very loud.
