On This Day Last Year: WDW Trip Report - Day 8 // New Attractions, Christmas Cheer, an Afternoon Mistake, and Extra Magic Hours at Magic Kingdom

Welcome, friends!  I appreciate you taking time from your day to head my way and hear about another magical day at WDW.  Let's jump right in!

Trip Report Tuesday // WDW Day 9 {Part One}

Welcome to another Trip Report Tuesday, friends!  This was to be the last report of this trip, but I'm simply not ready to see it all end quite yet!  So, I've decided to split this last day into two parts.  If you've enjoyed a magical Disney vacation I'm sure you understand my desire to make it last (even if only through the retelling of it all) just a teensy bit longer!  

Let's get to the details of that bittersweet morning...

Day 9 - Saturday, October 24, 2015  // Part One
Our last morning at Animal Kingdom Lodge

We woke up bright and early and enjoyed our breathtaking savannah view one last time...

Before long it was time for our breakfast reservation downstairs at one of our favorite restaurants, Boma!

We've found special farewell breakfasts make that last morning so much more enjoyable!  We savored every last scrumptious bite while chatting about the magical memories made throughout our beautiful week at Disney!

After filling up on fabulous eats, my parents, girls, and I posed on the bridge while my photographer hubby stood opposite us in the resort's majestic lobby.

We crossed this bridge each time we made our way to and from our villa.  It sure was a beautiful way to take in the loveliness of our Disney Vacation Club home daily!  In case you haven't guessed it, we are homesick for that Animal Kingdom Lodge goodness already!

Trip Report Tuesday - WDW Day 5 {Part One}

Hello, friends!  Welcome to the first Trip Report Tuesday post of 2016!  I've decided to break day five into two parts, keeping it simple and sweet for you all.  Ready for a Disney fix?  Let's get right to the magic then!

Day 5 - Tuesday, October 20, 2015  //  Part One

This was one of my favorite mornings!  The girls slept in a bit and my parents enjoyed a laid back morning in our villa.  Meanwhile, Jason and I went on a breakfast date at Boma!  It was so nice to simply head downstairs to one of our favorite restaurants and enjoy some sweet one on one time over such treats as Simba waffles and french toast bread pudding!  YUM!

After breakfast we decided to take a stroll over to Animal Kingdom Lodge's Kidani Village to explore it a bit.

We took in the beauty of the lobby, browsed through the gift shop, then enjoyed a nice walk and talk on the way back to the Jambo House.  I relished every magnificent moment of this morning out with my man!

Animal Kingdom Lodge's Jambo House lobby is awe-inspiring!  We loved crossing this gorgeous bridge every time we made our way to and from our room!

Tooth Fairy Surprise with a Pinch of Pixie Dust

Little One woke up just before we returned and was more than ready to see what the Tooth Fairy had left her!  (If you missed the last trip report, you can read about her leaving Epcot one tooth lighter here.)  The night before she speculated that perhaps Tinkerbell would come instead of the Tooth Fairy since we were at Disney World.  Judging from the fun surprise she received I think she may have been right! ;)

Resort  R & R

I'm so glad that we kept the morning and early afternoon free on this particular day to enjoy time together at our home resort, Animal Kingdom Lodge.  It was a refreshing and memorable part of the vacation.  

We lounged on our private balcony and took in the "wild" view...

Then we soaked up that glorious golden Florida sunshine at the pool!  Sunning, swimming, and water sliding works up in appetite which led to our in-room pizza party.

(Yes, our villa was fully stocked with real plates.  That didn't stop me from packing my own Halloween ones though!  They helped set the mood for what was to come that evening...)

After lunch we pulled out some cute costumes and headed to our favorite Disney World hard ticket event, Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party!
