Welcome, friends! I appreciate you taking time from your day to head my way and hear about another magical day at WDW. Let's jump right in!
Today is an extra special day! As I type this Jason and I are celebrating our 24th wedding anniversary and I'm preparing to preserve and share memories from our 23rd spent at Walt Disney World! I am grateful beyond what words could begin to convey for God's good gift of marriage and for these years of life with the husband whom I adore! I could go on and on gushing over the goodness of my favorite guy, but I'll try to simply sum up my heart on this sweet day in a few lines. Jason and I started dating as teenagers and married six months after our first date, each having just freshly entered our twenties. It's beautiful looking back at our lives from 19 years old until here in our forties. We've grown up together and built a life and family we love, all by the grace and mercy of the unspeakably good God who brought us together and has sustained us through it all. It hasn't always been easy, but we've seen God use even the darkest days to strengthen and grow us, working all things together for our good. I'm incredibly thankful that I get to spend "as long as we both shall live" with my best friend and forever favorite, Jason! As I tell him pretty much daily, he's the best husband in all of husbandry. :) And with a happy sigh as I think of my favorite guy, I'll get on to the details of this day! Thank you for being here to help me celebrate!
Welcome back for another trip report capturing my family's magical memories from this day last year. I'm so glad you're here! Today's post will begin in Animal Kingdom, take us through Christmas decor and more throughout Disney Springs, find us in Epcot, and checking into a sensationally spacious villa at Animal Kingdom resort! If I were doing my old Trip Report Tuesday series I'd likely break this one into a three parter, but since I'm recapping day by day I have a lengthy show and tell to share today. You may want to take a moment to grab a sip or snack to enjoy as you scroll, scroll away!
Hello, sweet readers and cherished friends! I want to start with a great big heartfelt thank you for the sweet comments on yesterday's blog post and happy messages sent my way on Instagram. It meant so much to hear from you! It felt good to be back behind my computer and knowing that you care to return after all this time fuels me to continue with this series of sharing. Whenever I sit down at my computer for this hobby of blogging it feels like I'm chatting with friends. The messages and comments received reminded me just how sweet these friends of mine are! Thank you for being among them! My heart is full and I'm thankful for you! :)
Now let's get to those Disney deets! A year ago today I was happy crying in Magic Kingdom and over the moon about checking in for our first ever club level stay! Wanna hear all about it? Great! I can't wait to share!
Welcome to an extra special edition of TRT, friends! Today I will be recapping one of the most special days I've spent on Disney property, the day that Jason and I celebrated two decades of marriage! I am immensely thankful to God for the gift of marriage and grateful that He has enabled us to love, learn, grow, forgive, and become stronger through all the storms of life. He's shown us grace and enabled us to extend grace to each other. Through trials we have grown in our relationship with God and have seen our marriage strengthened, far more than would've been possible had life been all smooth sailing. When we took those vows for better or worse, richer or poorer, in sickness or health, we had very little understanding what that would look like. We've now walked through each of those types of challenges and by God's grace we have come out the other side rooted firmly in Christ, hand in hand, hearts united. I have no doubt many hardships that we cannot yet imagine await in this life to come, but I don't fear those days as I know the man I'm married to and the God whom we both place our trust in. My life is richer and fuller because of the man who gave me his last name now nearly 23 years ago. He loves me well, and strives to honor God in all he does. He is a man of integrity and honor which is rare and wonderful. His strong shoulders and loving arms have comforted me. He makes me laugh like no one else. His company cheers me. His personality delights me. From our girls' first cries to growing into adulthood, he's parented our darling daughters with such love, care, and wisdom. He's my very best friend for life, the one I want to tell anything and everything to at the first opportunity. Falling asleep and waking each new day at his side is a gift. To sum it up simply, life is sweet, because he is mine. God is so very kind.
Thank you for allowing me a moment to gush over my guy and praise our good God for the blessing of marriage! Now, care to see the way we celebrated?
