Magical Monday #8: Disney's Jungle Juice {Copycat Recipe}

These photos are from a few trips ago. My hair was much different then, but more noticeably my girlies were much smaller! *happy tears for the magical memories, sad ones for the time that's passing oh so quickly*

Donald's Safari Breakfast at Animal Kingdom's Tusker House Restaurant is one of my favorite character meals at Walt Disney World. It boasts characters dressed in safari clothes, a buffet filled with scrumptiousness, and kiddos are invited to grab maracas and dance around the dining room with a character, but one of the biggest draws for me is the Jungle Juice that your server brings you immediately after you're seated. It's like fruity liquid sunshine! :) I'm thirsty just mentioning it! Thankfully, we don't have to wait until our next trip to enjoy the flavors of Animal Kingdom. We've got a copycat recipe I'm excited to share with you, that'll instantly transport your taste buds there! Just add three items to your shopping list, and soon you'll enjoy a glass of Disney goodness at home! :*)

I'll let me hubby tell you a little more about it, in his best reporter voice, of course. ;)

  2. Yum! Is this the same juice as they serve at 'Ohana? My Scout and I were just reminiscing about that delicious blend. (and if an 11 year old is thinking about juice...it's some good stuff!)

    Thanks for the recipe!

    1. 'Ohana's breakfast is one of the few character meals we haven't yet hit (making an ADR for it on our next trip later this year though - woohoo!) 'Ohana is hands down our family's FAVORITE restaurant on WDW property, but we always go for dinner (SoOo GOOD!!) ... so, I had to do a lit'l research to answer your question. From what I've found online it is indeed the same thing! It goes by the name of "Lilikoi Juice" at both 'Ohana and the Kona Cafe at the Polynesian, and called "Jungle Juice" at AK's Tusker House. I agree, it is such a DELICIOUS blend!! I had a glass this morning & savored every sip! :*) Hope you and your family enjoy some soon too!! :)

    1. Thanks, Krista! How fun :) ... My youngest daughter's favorite is Daisy Duck and that's another reason we love Donald's Safari Breakfast! You don't see Daisy quite as often as of the Fab Five, so that's a real treat for her ... and us, as we enjoy our Little One's big smiles! ;*)

      Appreciate your sweet comment! So glad you all enjoyed a fantastic trip!! Hope you have the chance to make this juice soon. It's perfect to sip while reminiscing about those magical memories! :-)

  11. I once visited one of my very best friends from high school when she was living in Honolulu (she picks all the best places to live!) They actually sell this juice combination, pre-mixed in the stores. They called it POG juice (for obvious reasons) and it was amazing. Now, if only we could get it pre-mixed here on the mainland :)

    Thanks for a little taste of Disney for the day. It's one of my absolute most favorite places in the whole wide world. We'll have to try Tusker House and Ohana the next time we're there!

    1. I agree, it would be so nice if they sold it pre-mixed here on the mainland too! It's tasty enough that I don't mind buying three juices and mixing them myself though ... it's SO YUMMY!!
