Five Loves on Friday

Happy Friday, friends!  I hope you all enjoyed a lovely holiday!  The time I spent away from the computer was wonderfully refreshing.  I'm looking forward to sharing some of the highlights from it with you all today!  Celebratory goodness, scrumptious eats, and a lit'l haul fun, straight ahead! ...

One  //  Celebrating Christ

The highlight of the week was celebrating our Risen Savior!

God loved the world so much that He sent His only son, Jesus, to be born a babe.  He alone, being fully God and fully man, was able to live a life without sin.  (Hebrews 4:15 says, "For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin.")  He lived the spotless life that none of the rest of us could.  Then He willingly gave up His life, dying on the cross, bearing the full wrath of God that we deserve.  He was buried and on the third day arose from the grave, victorious over sin and death!  If we repent (turn from our sin) and trust in Christ, His sinless blood is credited to us.  Although we're altogether undeserving, those who have been forgiven through the blood of Christ can rest in knowing that when we stand before God He will see us as He sees His Son, Jesus Christ, holy and in right standing with God!  There is nothing we could do to merit God's favor (Isaiah 64:6 tells us that all our righteous deeds are like a filthy garment).  Our only hope is found in Jesus!  This is the good news of the Gospel and worthy of celebration, on Easter Sunday, and every other day that God blesses us with breath in our lungs!

My girlies looking lovely on Easter morning

Two  //  Celebrating with Family

We spent Easter afternoon celebrating with my side of the family at my aunt and uncle's beautiful home.  My Aunt Ann and Cousin Emily always set a stunning table.  This year was no exception!

I adored every last "sweet" and pretty pastel detail!

Emily's Oreo and Limited Edition Peep Oreo Pops were as delicious as they were adorable!

Princess brought along her Star Wars songbook to play from.  She's a girl after her Star Wars obsessed, musical daddy's own heart!

I can't get over how cute Emily's Disney Pixar crockpot is!  I'm currently telling myself that mine works just fine, as I'd really like one of my own! :)

One of my mom's cutest Easter dessert contributions, a Peeps Brownie Sunflower Dessert

Everybunny LOVED the Easter goodies Ann & Emily put together for the kids!  They couldn't have been cuter, and made of beach towels while sporting sunglasses, these bunnies will come in pretty handy soon too!

Another priceless reaction inducing gift was the Easter basket Grandma and Grandpa gave Little One filled with crafting supplies!  They know her well! ;)

We loved my aunt's suggestion of taking snapshots near their tree dripping with swoon-worthy blossoms!

It was such a lovely day!

Three  //  Easter Weekend Eats

What's a holiday weekend without some amazing food, right?!  So, while I managed to only snap pics of sweet treats at our family Easter party (#sweettoothproblems), here are some treats we enjoyed of the scrumptious savory variety...

We kicked off the long weekend with a family dinner at our favorite Chinese buffet on Thursday night.

This brisket philly and seasoned fries from Pepperjax Grill was perfection with a view of the lake during our Good Friday lunch.

Thai Pie with my favorite guy!

The girls had fun coloring eggs with their grandparents and we enjoyed the yumminess inside those almost-too-cute to crack open eggs!

Five  //  Favorite Fab Finds

I am loving Disney Store's summer Mickey Citrus line!  I spotted a free shipping offer last week and scooped up this bowl and coasters set!  Is it summer yet? ;)

You may not believe I found these shoes at Walmart!  Furthermore, you really won't believe their prices!  The polka dotted pretties were just under $6 and my super cute sandals were $7 and some change!

I have a weakness for cute phone cases (at great prices)!  After all, a phone is something that goes with me everywhere and is hands down the most fun accessory to accessorize in my book!  That being said, when Reese Witherspoon's sweet Southern shop, Draper James, offered 75% off their sale items along with free shipping, I couldn't resist snagging a couple cute new cases!  $40 down to $9.99?  Yes, please and thank you!  ...I may have also ordered one more thing before the sale concluded.  I'm pretty sure when that cuteness arrives it'll find its way on to my next Loves list.  Stay tuned for that, friends! ;)

Thank you so much for popping by my nook of the blogosphere for a visit today!  Wishing you the loveliest weekend to come!
