SIX LOVES ON SATURDAY!! {Turkeys & Birthday & Black Friday, Oh My!}

I normally share 5 loves on Friday, but with Thanksgiving this week, and Black Friday being an extra special one {keep reading for more on that ;)}, I didn't find the time to create my usual post.  I'll make it up to ya by adding a 6th love! ;)

I hope your Thanksgiving week was fantastic!  I can hardly wait to share the highlights of mine with you now, friends! ...

*Chronologically ordered {...so that I didn't have to pick favorites amongst these favorites.}

1.  Thanksgiving with my side of the family
I adored my aunt's cute candy cups and my mom's sweet sugar cookies

My Aunt Ann set up a Turkey Hands of Gratitude craft table.  It was such a fun way to give thanks!  {How cute is it that Little One is thankful for her teddy bear?!} I was thankful that my cousin Emily prepared Disneyland's cornbread recipe for our feast! It was sooo good!

2.  Feature Fun
My heart skips a beat when I see something I created has been featured.  It's just plain fun! :)

Thank you, KC of The Real Thing with the Coake Family for featuring my Mason Jar Turkey with Thankfulness Stuffing at The Real Creative Life {link party}, and Meghan of The Tasty Fork for featuring it at Wake Up Wednesdays {link party}!

3.  Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade!
One of my FAVORITE parts about Thanksgiving is snuggling up together as a family, watching Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, eating Quiche & donuts!  I wish it could last all. day. long.  It's always such a special time together!

4.  Thanksgiving with Jason's side of the family
Seriously Scrumptious Turkey!

My mother-in-law used Pioneer Woman's Favorite Turkey Brine recipe this year.  It was absolutely fantastic!!!

 Cousin time!

5.  Princess' 12th Birthday was on Black Friday!
She's incredibly sweet, thoughtful, kindhearted, and considerate, and although quiet, quite hilarious too!  I praise God for the beautiful blessing it truly is to be her mom!

Look who got up during the 4 o'clock hour to join my parents and I in our annual tradition of Black Friday shopping!

This Birthday Girl can shop!

Photos:  My dad with Princess and a cartful of Christmas gifts, Breakfast ...because shopping works up an appetite!, & Cheers to a FUN & Memorable Black Friday Birthday for my Princess!!!

6.  Birthday {Disney} Movie Date!
We went.  We saw.  We LOVED it!

Our city's movie theater has recliners now! {AMAZING!}  I even packed some light blankets in my bag for the girls.  We got so comfortable! {Almost too comfortable being that I'd been up since 4am and spent all morning shopping! *Yawn*}  Thankfully I was enjoying the movie and the experience with my girlies too much to doze off.  We each give Disney's Frozen {in 3D} two chilly thumbs up!

Thanks for visiting, friends!  I hope you're enjoying a lovely Thanksgiving weekend ...and a wonderful start to the Christmas season too!

  1. What a nice surprise to see this post! Glad to hear "Frozen" was good - hoping to take my niece to see it soon. Wish we could have gone with you! And wow! Look at that FULL shopping cart! lol I might just have to try Black Friday shopping one of these days. And a Disneyland cornbread recipe? Sounds yummy! Maybe you can share it with me? :)
