I was awarded the Versatile Blogger Award!! What a fabulous surprise and wonderful honor!! I'm doing a happy dance, won't you join me?! Thank you so much, Jeni of I Got This Martha, for the nomination!

As a recipient, I'm now given the privilege of nominating 15 others to receive this honor. I'm thrilled to nominate the following excellent bloggers:
{Insert drumroll here.}

1. Dorothy of Crazy for Crust
2. Nici of Posed Perfection
3. Jocelyn of Inside BruCrew Life
4. Evelyn of My Turn (for us)
5. Jenn of A Jennuine Life
6. Ruthie of What's Cooking with Ruthie
7. Nichole of Pinkie For Pink
8. Marquis of Simply Clarke
9. Alexis of Running Away? I'll help you pack.
10. KC of The Real Thing with the Coake Family
11. Becky of This is Happiness
12. Tieghan of Half Baked Harvest
13. Jen of Organized Jen
14. Kathy of Life on Lakeshore Drive
15. Wanda Ann of Memories by the Mile

Congratulations, recipients! I'm tickled pink to have received this honor myself, and absolutely delighted to have the opportunity to recognize each of you, for all you do and share, with this blogger to blogger award!

The other task I must complete to accept this award is to share 7 random facts about myself. I love getting to know the bloggers I follow better, and I'm happy to share a little more about myself with you, my lovely readers!

1. I have one younger sister. We've been called "twins born 20 months apart." We were both exactly 19.5 inches long and 6lbs,12.5 ounces at birth. ...Speaking of babies, she & I had our first babies just 26 days apart.

2. Growing up, I dreamt of being a teacher, author, or a paleontologist. Today I homeschool, blog, and make nearly annual trips to Disney's Animal Kingdom complete with a dinosaur boneyard ... that counts as living the dream, right? ;)

3. As a child I loved the color yellow! My dad asked me, "What color should I paint the house?" Sure enough, he painted it yellow. He didn't stop there. He built me a playhouse that looked like a smaller version of our home and painted that yellow too! No wonder I've always been a daddy's girl. Today, my youngest daughter adores all things yellow.

4. My husband and I dated 2 months, were then engaged just 4 months and married at age 20. We'll celebrate 15 years of marriage this year.

5. My favorite foods all start with "ch" ... cheese, chocolate, chips, cherries, chicken wings, chicken thai pie {pizza}.

6. According to my family I have a "smirky smile" on my face at ALL times. My face naturally rests in a bit of a smile. I have no control over this, but even if I end up with smile lines that's better than a frown. ;)

7. I took 6 years of French and even traveled to Paris, but retained nothing. That's ok. I don't need to speak French to order a delicious creme brûlée at EPCOT's Boulangerie Patisserie, so I think I'll be just fine.

Thanks again, Jeni of I Got This Martha, for nominating me! Congrats to each of my nominees!

Cheers,
Brenda

  4. Brenda,
Thank you again for nominating me! I am doing the happy dance with you! It is so fun to read and learn more about each other. That's one of the things I love about blogging, is the friends I am making. We have several things in common. My favorite dessert is creme brûlée and my husband and I only dated about 2 months or less and were engaged about 3 months. We have been married 35 years.
    Thanks again.
    xoxo
